In collaboration with our U.S. based partner, Engage Globally, we help children to become environmental stewards through planting and care of native trees. We also offer field trips for local schools to visit our community nursery.
We collaborate with farmers, traditional leaders, faith groups, teachers, and families to encourage tree planting and care across our villages. We also share sustainable farming techniques throughout our community.
In our local nursery, we raise thousands of trees to be distributed in our communities and at regional schools. The nursery also provides valuable incomes for some of our communities most vulnerable members.
In addition to planting trees on farms, at schools, and near homes, we hope to begin reforesting acres of vacant land between our village and river to create a natural space where community members can learn about conservation.
